I came across this unusually-named shop on Lorne St today – it’s still under construction and will apparently open late August. From everything I’ve read about it so far, I can’t wait! :)
I’ve always been a huge fan of Taiwanese dessert parlours. Memories of silky sheets of flavoured snow ice coupled with grass jelly, tapioca pearls, and pudding by Tong Pak Fu (which still has not arrived on NZ shores!) haunt my dreams rather more often than I’d like to admit. Unfortunately, based on a quick glance at their website, snow ice doesn’t appear to be on their menu, but the teas look good (camellia green tea, anyone?), and the taro ball dessert is intriguing.
