My favourite burger joint in the Tron. :) They’re fairly expensive as far as burgers go, but the size and quality makes up for it – IMO they are almost as good as the extremely famous Fergburger in Queenstown (which always has a queue going around the block!). Their burgers are humongous, with tender, juicy, and perfectly grilled beef patties. If you order the Classic burger (which we always do), it comes with fried egg, melted gruyere, house-made aioli, and a whole lot of veggies.
But, the best part about this joint is really the excellent service. It’s unusual to say that about a burger joint, but follow me here – you can phone them to place your orders beforehand, and swing by to pick them up! Zero waiting involved, faster than ‘fast’ food and tastes much better. The waitresses are always very friendly, and we’ve made plenty of customizations to our burgers and they get them right every time. Our food is always ready for us within the stipulated time, too.
One tip – skip the sides. Besides the fact that you won’t need them (did I mention the burgers are huge?), the side of onion rings that we ordered once turned out to be soggy. Oh, and, takeaway is generally a good idea. While the place looks pretty cool, I found the stools rather uncomfortable, and the heating is somewhat lacking.
